On-Site Training
Course Objectives:
The requirements of Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
are:
1. To ensure that drivers of all vehicles comply with safe Use of Lifting
Equipment 1998 (ACOP) LOLER Regulations.
2. To ensure that drivers have knowledge of the general safety requirements and
basic operating principles of safety.
3. At the end of the course drivers will have practised the correct loading and
unloading procedures and restraint.
(Lifting equipment includes any equipment used at work for lifting or lowering
loads, including attachments i.e. hook, bucket and many more...)

Section 2 - General Duties of Employers
The Construction Regulations (Lifting Operations)
Safety Awareness
Introduction to Slinging:
Design for Lifting, Configuration, Weight, Assessment, Use of Stabilisers, Safe
Use of Cranes, Choice of Equipment, Centre of Gravity, Grounding and Site
Hazards and Drivers Responsibility.
Duration:
1 Day - Experienced Operators R.T.I.T.B. Certificated
2 Day - Novice Operators R.T.I.T.B. Certificated
Ratio:
Trainee - Instructor ratio 3:1
Certification:
On successful completion of their theory practical exercise, students will
receive a R.T.I.T.B. Certificate and ID Card.
