Health & Safety Courses
Manual Handling Operations Risk Assessment & Practical Awareness Course:
This course is designed to provide information to managers, supervisors and
trainers as to the legal responsibilities under the Manual Handling Operations
Regulations 1992.
This course is one day's duration and covers National injury statistics, acute
and chronic muscular skeletal injuries sites and causes, accident prevention
ergonomics, structural awareness of the spine and muscles, safe handling
techniques. How to avoid and minimise manual handling, risk assessment and the
minimum training requirements:
Maximum of 8 delegates per course.
Manual Handling Operations Awareness Course:
This course is designed to provide staff with information on safe handling of
loads. This course is two hours duration and covers safe handling techniques,
acute and chronic muscular skeletal injuries, and structural awareness of the
spine and muscles. Employers and employees responsibilities.
Maximum of 8 delegates per session, maximum of 4 sessions per day
Fire Safety:
This course is designed to instruct delegates on fire safety procedures. This
course is approximately two hours duraion and covers fire types of extinguishers
and use, classification symbols and company fire and emergency procedure.

Accident Reporting and Investigation:
This course is designed to ensure delegates gain an appreciation of why the
management of safety is important, why accident reporting is important and how
to determine the root causes of accidents.
This course is approximately four hours duration and covers the basic reasons
for managing health & Safety, appreciate the relationship between major
accidents, minor accidents and near misses.
Accident causation theory, direct and indirect causes of accidents and accident
investigation. Legislative requirements of reporting of injuries, diseases and
dangerous occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR).

for hire can accommodate upto 20 delegates, with the following facilities
